About the project
The aim of the project is to:
- investigate how much children born prematurely are exposed to ionizing radiation compared to a control group, a important indicator of how x-rays are used in pediatric dentistry.
- investigate the possibility of reducing the amount of radiation to an extensive degree for LKG child patients aged 7-14, after surgical treatment.
- evaluate with exposed CBCT images, cleft and incisor canal volume, (new method), in LKG child patients.
- evaluate whether panoramic radiographs can be reliable compared to CBCT images of LKG patients' canine position in the aim to save the X-ray dose for the children.
