Project description
The perception of good health is closely linked to an individual’s oral health, and a key factor in this perception is the number of remaining teeth. Preserving teeth over time is therefore essential, not only for functional and aesthetic reasons but also for overall quality of life. This nationwide register-based study investigates long-term tooth survival after root canal treatment and crowning among Swedish adults, focusing on clinical, systemic, and economic determinants of outcomes. By integrating clinical and economic perspectives, this project will inform evidence-based decision-making in restorative dentistry, improve long-term oral health outcomes, and support sustainable, equitable dental care in Sweden.
