Our Research
The research theme Youth and Sexuality brings together interdisciplinary research on how sexuality, identity, relationships, and health of children and young people are shaped through the interplay of individual experiences, social contexts, and societal structures.
The research encompasses arenas such as education, healthcare, and social services, and sheds light on the conditions for sexual and reproductive health and rights in various contexts. The theme addresses both sex education and the lived experiences of young people in different life situations, while also analysing norms, power, and inequality. The research also has an international dimension and contributes to knowledge that strengthens the rights, health, and living conditions of children and young people.
