Hannah Devinney

We are happy to invite post doc Hannah Devinney from Linköping University, Tema Genus.

This seminar will present a “humanities-friendly” introduction to (data) representation in language technologies and its impacts, exploring how feminist and queer perspectives can be used to engage with questions of justice and fairness in technology. Together, we will examine and contextualize real examples of allocative and representational harms in a variety of tools, such as chatbots, text generation, machine translation, and image captioning.

Hosted by Genusvetenskapligt kollegium.
