English version Presentation

I am a Lecturer in Mathematics Education with a background as a teacher in mathematics, technology and programming across lower secondary and upper secondary levels. My work focuses on the intersection between mathematics teaching and digital technologies, especially how programming is integrated into mathematics classrooms.

Teaching

I teach mathematics and mathematics education in teacher education programmes for primary, and upper-secondary levels. My teaching also includes courses in digital learning and supervision of thesis projects. I have extensive experience coordinating school placements, supervising student teachers, and providing professional development for in-service teachers in programming, Python, and digital tools.

Research

My doctoral thesis, Practice beyond technology when programming and mathematics teaching converge, investigates teachers’ didactical choices when programming becomes part of mathematics instruction. The research explores what happens beyond the technology itself—what tactics, assessment strategies, and pedagogical considerations emerge when these two domains intersect. I have also published research on post-pandemic education, AI in schools, assessment with programming, and gender perspectives in programming education.

Academic Service

In addition to teaching, I contribute to national and international initiatives in programming pedagogy, teacher education and digitalisation. I have worked with the Swedish National Agency for Education as workshop leader and contributor to programming modules, and have developed professional training programmes for teachers. I also collaborate with NTNU (Norway) in research and course development, and contribute to educational materials and textbooks within programming and media technology.
