Lisa Andersson has a background as a social worker with work experience from Social Services and Probation Service in Sweden. Her research at Malmö University concerns problematic opioid use. One research project targets the implementation of a patient-choice reform in opioid substitution treatment (OST) in Skåne, specifically the impact this implementation has had on the patients’ views and experiences of empowerment in their treatment situation. Another project aims to investigate opioid-related deaths in Skåne, based on information from the Social Services, Health Care, Prison and Probation Service and the National Board of Forensic Medicine.
