Mia Münster is a Danish designer, design researcher, and educator. She holds an MD in Design and Architecture and has over 20 years of professional experience in retail and hospitality design, interior design, and product design. As a design practitioner, Mia has developed interior design concepts for several international brands. Mia holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Marketing at Copenhagen Business School and has teaching and research experience from her years as a Postdoc and a Reseach Assistant Professor at the School of Design, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. As a researcher, she is particularly interested in optimizing design processes, understanding consumer perceptions of commercial spaces, and exploring the social and environmental impact of third places. In recent years, Mia has focused on understanding the role of coffee shops in society, studying their interior and exterior design, their integration into neighborhoods, user perception and behavior, and social and environmental impact.
