Project description
The Africa-China Research Network (ACRN) is a newly formed global academic network. ACRN intends to organize two workshops to develop and strengthen the network and to tackle a contemporary research problem: How can we understand Africa's place in the emerging global order characterized by great power rivalry between the US, China and Russia, and how are African states and political elites navigating this new environment?
At the same time that all researchers carry out their individual research projects, we intend to develop an analytical model that incorporate the various research projects in the light of questions concerning African agency and dependency relations.
