About the project

This PhD project aims to experimentally test the ways in which Swedishness is constructed through examining national identification and ethnic identification, skin-tone, feelings of belongingness and migration history. As well, the doctoral student will examine how stereotype formation about different ‘commonly seen’ out-groups or partially included in-group members aims towards inclusion and validity within Swedish society as compared to other migrant-dense nation-states.
