Upgrade the assurance level of your computer identity
of your computer identity
Students must upgrade the assurance level of their computer identity to be able to log into Ladok for students.
The upgrade only applies to students with a Swedish personal identity number
Please note that only students with a Swedish personal identity number must upgrade the assurance level of their computer identity.
If you don't have a Swedish personal identity number, you can continue to log into Ladok as usual, without needing to upgrade.
Follow these steps to upgrade your computer identity
1. Log into idService
Log in with your computer identity.
2. Click on "Account security"
Account security settings allow you to identify and upgrade your assurance level.
3. Verify your private email address and your mobile number
Before upgrading, you need to ensure that your private email address and mobile number are registered as recovery options. This is required so that you can recover your account if you forget your password.
4. Check your current assurance level.
If your assurance level is "None", or "AL1", you must upgrade.
5. Upgrade by identifying your account with BankID or eduID
Upgrade your computer identity by identifying your account with BankID (if you have a Swedish personal number), or eduID (if you don’t have a Swedish personal number).
BankID for those who have a Swedish personal identity number
Please note that you must have a Swedish personal identity number to identify yourself with BankID.
Choose method:
- Choose BankID if you have a BankID on the current device.
- Mobile BankID on another device: Open the app and scan the QR code for identification.
EduID for those who don’t have a Swedish personal identity number
If you don't have a Swedish personal identity number, you need to confirm your identity with eduID.
