Gunnar Krantz is a professor within the arts in Visual communication/drawing. His main focus is comics and he has contributed to the introduction of contemporary comics in Sweden as an artist, editor and critic since the late 70s. He has published a number of books and his works has been exhibited in art institutions in Sweden and Denmark. His research focuses on artistic production, forms pf publication, the emergence of the field of comics in Sweden and the relation between comics and contemporary art.
