Kristin Järvstad, professor in gender studies, associate professor in comparative literature. My research is in the field of gender studies with a focus on text analysis. I have carried out a number of studies on 20:th century Swedish fiction, dealing with themes such as gender, nation, (trans)nationalism, Swedishness, 'the stranger' as a literary figure, military preparedness, (anti)violence, sexuality, marriage, motherhood and prostitution.
