Presentation

In my dissertation, I study child and family social work dialogues, including therapies. I'm particularly interested in how children exercise involvement (or participation) and how social workers may facilitate children's involvement in these practices.

My data consists of authentic audiovisual recordings of child and family social work dialogues, including therapies, as well as stimulated recall interviews with the participants in the recordings. I employ both Microanalysis of face-to-face dialogue and Constructivist grounded theory.
