Project description
The project aims to explore how school-based mental health promotion could consider knowledge about social and health inequities. We have substantial knowledge about the unequal distribution of mental health and ill-health among young people, but there is less knowledge about how this is, or could, be incorporated in youth mental health promotion to contribute towards mental health equity.
The PhD-project consists of two parts and four qualitative studies will be conducted. The first part is exploring, together with young people 13-16 years old, the role of equity and inequities in everyday life and everyday challenges. The second part is exploring how equity and inequities are considered in different school-based mental health promotion efforts in Sweden.
