Elizabeth Ashley Fox-Jensen is a designer, lecturer, and researcher at Malmö University who holds a PhD in Digital Humanities from the School of Advanced Study (SAS) at the University of London. With 16 years of higher education experience across Sweden, Denmark, the UK, and the US, her interdisciplinary research connects design, digital humanities, textual studies, database management, and art history. She specializes in developing accessible and sustainable digital cataloguing methodologies, with particular expertise in visual and graphic design, interaction design, and media communication.

Her work promotes accessibility and sustainability through innovative interdisciplinary collaborations, employing methodologies including case studies, action research, participatory design, and research through design (RtD). She integrates design principles with UX/UI and responsible AI tools, resulting in award-winning publications, comprehensive digital catalogue raisonnés, and accessible exhibition designs. Notable achievements include receiving Denmark’s Best Designed Book award (2014), securing over 1 million SEK in artistic and research funding, and serving as Lead Editor of the Ted Stamm Catalogue Raisonné since 2011.

Teaching and Other Responsibilities Lecturer in the Faculty of Culture and Society, School of Arts and Communication (K3) at Malmö University, teaching across multiple programs including Graphic Design, Media Studies, Interaction Design, Product Design, and Design for Engineering at both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels. Course leader for the popular “Graphic Design & Media” course (KK407A) and supervises bachelor’s and master’s theses, coordinates international study trips, and leads interdepartmental collaborative projects between K3 and Technology and Society departments.
