About the project
The project investigates feedback provided by digital learning tools commonly used in mathematics teaching. The focus is on pupils in Years 4–6 in Sweden. The project examines how feedback from digital learning tools creates opportunities and obstacles for pupils to make active choices and make sense of mathematics. At the same time, the project discusses the various conditions – in the form of opportunities and obstacles – that feedback from digital learning tools creates for the diverse range of pupils found in Swedish classrooms. The project examines both the feedback and the conditions it creates for pupils, viewed in relation to digital learning tools, as well as how pupils in Swedish mathematics classrooms describe their use of the feedback they receive from these tools.
Research environment
The project is part of the SISEME (Studies in Science, Environmental and Mathematics Education) research environment and the Sustainable Digitalisation Research Centre.
