About the project

The overall aim of the research project is to evaluate simulator training in blue light operations based on its transferability to specific skills for blue light personnel with a focus on risk and sustainability. This is to gain in-depth knowledge of the effect of various learning activities and to eventually develop basic training for the police, and other related training bodies as well as further training. In the long term, the project is also expected to be able to contribute to a safer working environment for police officers by offering effective training in dangerous situations in a safe environment. The focus is on driving simulators, but in police training, several different simulated exercises are used to train abilities such as decision-making, tactics, and weapon handling, which are also studied within the project.
