RIDHE is an interdisciplinary platform for research on learning in higher education specifically targeting challenges in health care.

Our research

Creating conditions for equal access to diagnostic- and health care services and diminishing existing health differences in the population are important prerequisites for sustainable social development. In response to these challenges, a collaboration between different health care providers has been suggested as one most important improvement strategy.

Nonetheless, the ability to collaborate needs to be practiced throughout health care education, and educational activities need to be designed to enhance collaborative learning. Moreover, the described challenges also influence teaching and research in relation to faculty professional development. Malmö University´s Strategy 2022 stresses that teaching practices have to be grounded in research. This implies that higher education should meet the criteria of scientific validity and not the least practical relevance. The platform is thereby an arena for interdisciplinary collaboration on educational research within the health care sector.
