Project description

The project is based on the idea of Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP), which means opening up for bachelor's and master's students to learn more about research in so-called research-active education. Students get to be part of an authentic project and research team, which sometimes also includes other actors (e.g. industry). The overall aim of the project is to examine effects and explore experiences of VIP in biomedical, criminological and health science research from the perspective of students, community actors, faculty and industry partners.

Our question for educational development is to explore how students can contribute to and learn about research in a real research environment, and whether it contributes to more students choosing a research career. The goal of the project is to give the students expanded subject knowledge while improving their collaborative and process-oriented research skills, and hopefully sparking their interest in a continued research career. Another goal is that the students will contribute positively to the research team and also to industry or other social actors.
