Presentation

Elisabeth Carlson is a professor of health care sciences with a special focus on health education issues. The focus of my research and teaching is primarily the content and prerequisites for supervision and learning during clinical placements, interprofessional learning and pedagogical models for student-activating learning.

I lead the research group Research Informed Development of Higher Education (RIDHE) which studies collaborative and interprofessional learning as well as issues related to professional development.

Part of RIDHE consists of Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP), which is a multidisciplinary initiative in which students from the faculty's various programmes actively participate in the work of the research groups. Our VIP work is also done in collaboration with the Faculty of Technology and Society, Georgia Tech Atlanta USA and with several European universities.

I am the project manager for the graduate school Development of Academic Competence in Health Care Education (DACHE), which is a collaboration with Lärosäte Syd and funded by the Swedish Research Council.
