PhD in Sports Science after completing a research school in sports didactics for teachers who teach in PETE. The thesis Friluftsliv encounters - Teacher educators explore their own teaching practice (link below) examines outdoor life in teacher education within the framework of an action research project. My research interests are outdoor learning environments, nature encounters, practice-oriented research, movement skills and outdoor education in preschool.
I work at the Department of Sports Sciences with a focus on outdoor life (friluftsliv), play, swimming, etc. I have assignments as a course leader, work-based training and I teach in educational science courses. I participate in development work at the department and am a participant in the research group MEES, Movement and Embodiment in Education and Society as well as in a Nordplus project on movement in preschool.
I have previously a bachelor's degree in Preschool Teacher specialising in Play and Sports Movement. 2-year folk high school education becoming an Outdoor Teacher. I did my master's degree in education 2017 ‘Physical Education teacher students’ stories about encounters with friluftsliv’, which is available as an article on idrottsforum.org where you also can find a conference report from the British Educational Research Association Conference 2022.
