Osa is a dedicated senior lecturer in pedagogical work and instructor in the teacher education programs, her academic journey is deeply rooted in exploring the intricate dynamics of institutional racism and the construction of official knowledge. Osa's research is particularly focused on the ethnographic study of how race and whiteness are reproduced within the curriculum content of preschool and compulsory schools.

Through the lens of curriculum studies, critical race theory, and whiteness studies, Osa examines the selection, implementation, and evaluation of official school knowledge. Her work aims to uncover and challenge the systemic structures that perpetuate racial inequalities in educational settings, contributing to a more equitable and inclusive educational landscape.
