About the project

This project is driven by a curiosity about the "good life" in the countryside. In times where urban norms and strong mobility pressures are pushing on young people, we want to learn more about the people who choose to stay in the countryside.

We are conducting in-depth interviews to find out how people view their work life, education, and personal life in the countryside. The project's material consists of transcripts interviews with counsellors and private individuals. A further development of the project places greater focus on the role of the agricultural program in upper secondary school for rural development and sustainability.
