The aim of the course is to develop an understanding of the dynamics and complexity of passenger transports, as well as their impact on economic, social, and environmental development. By exploring the driving forces behind the development and use of transportation systems, students will be able to assess various strategies and policies such as taxes and regulations to promote sustainability and efficiency within the transport sector, e.g. public transportation and micro-mobility.
Infrastructure investments, development, integration and use of transportation systems require continuous evaluation and optimization to achieve transportation policy goals. Students should be able to identify and analyze how policies and changing travel behaviors can promote sustainable and efficient use of transportation infrastructure.

Kursvärdering
Malmö University provides students who participate in, or who have completed a course, with the opportunity to express their opinions and describe their experiences of the course by completing a course evaluation administered by the University. The University will compile and summarise the results of course evaluations. The University will also inform participants of the results and any decisions relating to measures taken in response to the course evaluations. The results will be made available to the students (HF 1:14).
